I shot a fashion show the other night, and as with most things you try to get there early to make sure you have a good angle before all the choice spots are taken. Getting there early also means waiting. So of course I find ways to pass the time by looking for things to shoot. I was luck y to capture this walk through before they opened the doors.
I had the opportunity to shoot a small-ish fashion show last week, by small-ish, I mean not fashion week. I got to shoot a lot of the behind-the-scenes goings-on and prep work, which, I think, is more interesting than the actual show itself, even from a visual standpoint…but then again I’m a guy. It’s amazing to see how much work goes into producing something that looks so simple and effortless. Hopefully these images will give you some idea. The preparation stuff is in black and white and transitions to color for the show itself. B&W just fit.
